Signal central

Signal central JJSU is the basic structural element of the signal system. It is the specialized application based on the principles of industrial PC, which is connected (through the structured network) with all end appliances of the system and it takes control of their data exchange. All these end appliance can be connected with the central in compliance with the purview of the whole network:

  • stage manager boards
  • light signals
  • "Transparent" boards
  • call panels with confirmation
  • call touchscreens with confirmation

Stage manager board

Stage manager board is the central control unit of all signal system. It works as a distant client of the signal central JJSU and so the operating is transfered into software processing. Owing to the up-to-date technologies even the touchscreen become the basis of the board. The advantage of such a configuration is a high flexibility of the system in case of modification and adjustment and last but not least minimum requirements for the size of the very board.

The consequent appearance of the control programme always depends on the used end appliances and their layout. But on the whole the surface of the board is divided in several parts according to the type of signalization:

  • clock
  • boards with confirmation
  • light signals
  • transparents and gongs

Time data from the screen is transfered by the busbars and all appliances ensuring its display are synchronized with the board.

Boards with confirmation

They are emplaced mostly in the changing rooms. Pressing of the corresponding column with the changing room sign effects a sound and optical signal. The stage manager has according to the colour of the column an overview, if the request was accepted.

Light signals

It easily switches on/off the light signals. This device also has the colour distinction. At the mobile signs it is also perceptible, if they are connected or disconnected (after connection they automatically login to the network).

Transparents and gongs

Before the single parts of the performance in compliance with the requirement, the notices on the transparents switch on: Rehearsal, Performance and Break. It is also possible to install the signalization in the public part of the theatre and to transmitt from the stage manager board one of the (beforehand set) types of gongs as an advice, that the performance begins.

It is possible to make a profile of the performance (much like on the control boards of the stage technology). The performance is divided in several successions - scripts. For each performance you will be able to name the staff in the changing room and of the light signs and divide them arbitrarily in the logical groups. In the scripts it can be defined, which signalizations come back for each part of the performance. In this way it is possible to eliminate very efficiently the omission of the staff during the demanding performances, the system of the request acceptation and the bidirectional communication of the end appliances provides the ultimate overview of the complete signalization.

To the basic configuration, which is the above-mentioned operating board, can be also integrated (to the stage manager board): communication terminal, the screen for scanning of the stage or elements for the curtain control.

"Transparent" board

"Transparent" board is the next end appliance of the stage manager technology. It serves as a danger and informative sign in the places, where the actors are entering the stage. PC4T is also connected with the signal central JJSU via the busbar. There is a digital clock in the lower part and in the upper part it is possible to image (by the means of the highly luminous diodes) these following signs, advertising what is happening on the stage:

Performance - red colour
Break - orange colour
Recording - red colour
Rehearsal - green colour

The only exception is the Recording sign, which is mostly controlled from the sound cabin. PT4C is emplaced in the metal rack, whose front wall is made from the transparent black plastic. The contrast and the visibility of the signs and the clock is emphasized at most.

Basic descriptions:

Signs Performance, Break, Recording, Rehearsal
Colours red, orange, green
Clock yes
Size 320x150x31 mm

Lighting signs

SL 1R, SL 1G, SL 1Y

The lighting signs serves for the signalization of the performancers┤ advent on the stage and the synchronization of the operations. They are delivered both in the compact (immovable) alternate, and in the mobile version (M), which supposes the arbitrary moving between the arranged plug sockets. The sockets are connected (by the busbar) to the stage manager board and every lighting sign after connection logins to the network (thanks to the individual address). By virtue of the bidirectional communication the stage manager has in every moment an overview, where each sign is situated and if it is workable.

The lighting signs are made from highly luminous diodes, mostly single or in combination with two colours. The electronics is emplaced in the plastic rack.

Call board with confirmation

CWC4 board is intended for setting in the wall. Its front wall is made from the hardened foil assuring great endurance and stability of the appliance. Primarily it is emplaced in the theatre changing rooms an in another workplaces, where the confirmation of the acceptation (of signalization) is needed.

CWC4 technology, built on the microcontroller, assigns to each appliance in the system its own address and in this way it offers big possibilities of the flexibility, how to use this appliance. Four channels are disposable and each containes an exchangable sign, signal pied LED diode and the confirming button. The appeal can be done both via the sound sign and also via lighting up of the corresponding LED diode in red, till the confirmation of acceptation (of signalization). Then the diode lights up in green. Then the one, who is appealing, (mostly stage manager), ends the signalization and the board is put in the primary condition (LED diode switches off).

According to the (beforehand) setting the appeal can also be transmitted (f.e. to call maskers or the wardrobe mistresses). After the appeal the diode lights up in red, after the arrival of the advice in green. In case of passivity the signalization automatically ends after the beforehand defined limited time.

CWC4 is moreover a multifunctual appliance. Regarding the emplacement, the LCD display, where f.e. time is imaged, was built in the equipment.

In the lower part there are the control elements for volume regulation of the 100 V sound radio or monitoring of the stage. All the needful functions in consideration of aestethisc and practical equipment of the room are integrated in this board.

Basic descriptions:

Number of signal channels 4
number of volume regulators 2
LCD display LED display - 6 seats
Size of the board 104x166x34 mm
Size with anchorage frame114x176x34 mm

Call touchscreen with confirmation

CWCT is the more difficult analogy of the CWC4. It is a smaller touchscreen, whose advantage is in the displaying of more signal places at the same time. It is mostly emplaced where the wardrobe mistresses and maskers works. They can be informed, which changing room asks for their help. After the appeal from the changing room the corresponding button on the touchscreen lights up and also the sound signal resounds. The CWCT staff then sends back the confirmation of the appeal. Signalization can also begin from the other side. The configuration of the system is just a question of software and CWCT control can be tuned according to the numer of the communicating end appliances.

Basic descriptions:

Number of signal channels according to the requirement
Type of screen touchscreen
Display size 320 x 240 pixel¨
Dimensions 142 x 90 x 47,5 mm
Weight 0,4 kg
